Brevard County's South Central Regional wastewater plant supplies reclaimed water to much of Suntree and Viera for irrigation. Homes on reclaimed don't need a pump. Homes that aren't, or that put in a well before reclaimed arrived, run their own shallow irrigation well.
What we hear about
- Pumps from the 1980s and 90s builds wearing out.
- Short cycling and burnt switches.
- Pumps left off for years that seize when restarted.
Common questions
Is Suntree part of Melbourne?
It's unincorporated Brevard County with a Melbourne mailing address. We cover it.
My well pump hasn't run in years. Can it be restarted?
Sometimes. Seized motors and dried-out seals are common, so have it checked before running it for long.
Can I switch from my well to reclaimed?
That's a question for Brevard County Utility Services. We handle the well side.
